The equipment overview gives employees information on the devices that are assigned to them. This information can be displayed via the Business Package for Employee Self-Service.
The devices can be assets from the Asset Accounting component, equipment from the Plant Maintenance component, and objects on loan from the Human Resources component.
If an object is both an asset and a piece of equipment at the same time, the data is consolidated and displayed in accordance with the Customizing of Human Resources ® Employee Self-Service ® Service-Specific Settings ® Equipment Overview ® Edit Views. A traffic light shows if there is inconsistent data in the system, such as an incorrect location or cost center.
You can use the BAdIs in Customizing for Employee Self-Service (my SAP ERP) under Equipment View ® Business Add-Ins to affect which fields are displayed and the content of these fields.
The following Internal Service Requests (ISRs) are available to you in the equipment overview:
· Request Equipment Repair
· Request Equipment Change
· Report Equipment Loss
· A technical prerequisite of this application is SAP ECC 5.00 Financials Extension.
· In the Customizing of Employee Self-Service (mySAP ERP)under Specify RFC Connection to the HCM System you have defined the RFC destination for the selection of the personnel data.
· You have created and activated an implementation of BAdI FCOM_EQM_EQUI_USER for finding equipment for users and users for equipment. You are recommended to adopt the sample coding.
· Users have the authorization to display the objects (asset, equipment and object on loan).
You can use Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) to:
· Customize the interface
(BAdI: FCOM_EQM_CHANGE)
· Define how users' equipment is determined
(BAdI: FCOM_EQM_EQUI_USER)
For more information, see the online BAdI documentation.
