Singapore
This
country version is
designed for use by businesses with operations in Singapore. As well as the
generic SAP system functions, it comprises functions designed for laws and
business practices particular to Singapore, and a
country template
to help you customize the system according to local requirements.
This documentation explains how the country-specific functions work and what Customizing settings are made by the country template. It does not cover the generic functions, which are described in the rest of the SAP Library.
Most of the country-specific functions for Singapore relate to Financials and Human Resources. The main areas are as follows:
· The Financial Accounting (FI) component contains a number of country-specific features that allow accountants to prepare sales and goods tax returns; and calculate capital allowance for the preparation of income tax returns.
To keep track of your company's liabilities, accountants can use a Singaporean version of the standard Vendor Payment History report.
Additional features are provided for accounts clerks, so that they can post invoices net of tax and print customer invoices in Accounts Receivable (FI-AR) if you do not use Sales and Distribution (SD).
· The Payroll Singapore (PY-SG) component allows you to remunerate your employees according to local requirements.
To allow you to
customize your Singaporean company codes more quickly, you can use the
Singaporean country template in the
Country Installation
Program.
