Use

You can change existing infotypes and create new infotype records when processing HR master data. The system automatically creates a history of data changes and developments during the period that an employee works at an enterprise.

For Payroll it is important to always have the most recent data available so as to be able to carry out a correct valuation. When specific changes are made that have an effect on the employee’s payroll result, payroll has to be run again for the period in question.  This is known as retroactive accounting.

Features

The following changes made to an employee’s infotype records can trigger retroactive accounting:

·        You make changes to infotype records or payroll-relevant individual fields pertaining to a period for which an employee has already been included in payroll accounting,

For more information, see HR Master Data Processing in the Payroll Past.

·        You change the Payroll Status infotype (0003). This infotype is usually updated automatically by the system. You should only change the fields in this infotype in exceptional circumstances.

For more information, see Changing the Payroll Status.
