The MIME Repository provides a range of other functions besides those already described.

Moving Subdirectories and MIME Objects in the Browser

Select one or several subdirectories or MIME objects in the browser and move them to another directory using Drag&Drop.
If the subdirectories contain MIME objects themselves, these objects are also moved.
This function can be helpful if you want to move MIME objects from an application-specific directory to the public directory, for example.

Displaying the Preview for MIME Objects

Double-click the MIME object in the MIME Repository Browser. Depending on the MIME category, the object is either displayed directly in the bottom area of the browser, or the system prompts you to choose a suitable editor.

Note

You can open and close the preview area of the browser by clicking on This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Processing MIME Objects in the Corresponding Editor

Double-click a MIME object in the object list of the BSP application in the Repository Browser to start an editor. You can then have all the changes you made to the MIME object adopted directly in the system by saving them within this external application.

Displaying All Versions of MIME Objects

If you click on This graphic is explained in the accompanying text , all the MIME objects for which there is more than one language version are displayed in the tree display as a subtree. The relevant MIME objects are marked with the same icon in this case.
This situation can only occur if further language versions were created for MIME objects in the translation system and these versions are transported to the development system.

Displaying the Attributes for MIME Objects

Select the MIME object in the browser and choose Attributes from the context menu.

Changing the Package Assignment of MIME Objects

Select the MIME object in the browser and choose Change Package Assignment from the context menu.
This function is particularly helpful if you save MIME objects initially as local objects ($TMP) and then want to assign them to a package for transport.

Assigning a Transport Request to MIME Objects

Select the required directory, subdirectory, or individual MIME objects in the browser of the MIME Repository and choose Write Transport Request in the context menu.

If you want to transport an application directory with all its subdirectories and all the MIME objects contained in it, you must select all the nodes of the application directory and all the objects contained in these nodes and assign them to a transport request.

Updating the Display

Choose Refresh from the context menu of the browser, or click the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text pushbutton to update the tree display of the browser. The current content of the input field is used to restrict the display.

Closing the Display

You leave the MIME Repository by choosing This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Close Browser.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

Since the MIME Repository is removed from the list of browsers in SE80 at the same time, you should leave the MIME Repository by selecting another browser such as the Repository Browser.
