Procedure documentation Creating Folders Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

It is not possible to explicitly create or delete folders for BSP applications in the MIME Repository because these must be consistent with your BSP applications.

You can, however, create subdirectories for the application directories to obtain a more clearly structured overview of the folder if you have a large number of MIME objects.

Recommendation

To make application-specific MIMEs available to all applications, you can store them in subdirectories of the /SAP/BC/BSP/[namespace]/PUBLIC folder. These MIME objects can then be used on a cross-application basis.

Procedure

To create a MIME folder for a BSP application:

1.       Either start the browser for the MIME Repository or display the object list for the respective BSP application.

2.       Click the top-level MIME folder.

3.       Choose Create ® Folder using the right mouse-click.

4.       In the dialog box that appears, enter a name and a short description for the folder you want to create.

5.       Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Save.

Since a new object is created in the SAP System with this subdirectory, the dialog box Create Object Directory Entry is displayed.

6.       Assign a package to the directory and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Save.

The new MIME folder appears in the browser.

For Web Dynpro applications, a folder belonging to the application is not automatically created in the MIME Repository. If you want to create a folder for a Web Dynpro application, you can do this in the /SAP/BC/WebDynpro/[namespace]/PUBLIC folder for the corresponding namespace below the WebDynpro node.

       1.      Open the WebDynpro node and then open the node for the required namespace.

       2.      Select the PUBLIC folder and use the right mouse button to open the context menu.

       3.      If you want to create the MIME object directly in this folder, choose Create ® MIME object.....

       4.      If you want to create a new folder for your MIME object first, however, choose Create ® Folder....

       5.      The subsequent steps correspond to those listed in the procedure above from step 4.

Recommendation

All folders stored in /SAP/BC/WebDynpro/[namespace]/PUBLIC and the MIMEs contained in them can be accessed by all Web Dynpro applications.
