Business Partner Integration in a Logical System 

Use

You use this function to integrate HR master data and organizational data with business partners if you run the applications in a logical system.

Features

Changes made in HR that are relevant for the business partner are transferred directly to the business partner when data is posted.

Activities

Integration of HR employees (object type P) with business partners in the “Employee” role

In the IMG activity, Activate Integration, make the following settings:

·        Switch PBPHR: ON

·        Switch HRAC: X

If you make this setting, the system creates business partners in the “Employee” role for all newly created employees. Changes made to HR employee data are transferred to the relevant business partner.

Report HRALXSYNC enables you to create business partners for HR employee data that already exists in the system. To do this, set the Employee indicator on the selection screen of the report.

Integration of HR organizational units (object type O) with business partners in the “Organizational Unit” role

In the IMG activity, Activate Integration, set switch OBPON to ON.

Changes made to HR organizational unit data are transferred to the relevant business partner. Report HRALXSYNC enables you to create business partners for HR organizational data that already exists in the system.

Integration with HR organizational units is used by Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), for example. To enable integration with SRM, you must also ensure that the business partners in the “Organizational Unit" role have an address. To do this, make settings for switches OADBP and OADRE in the IMG activity, Data Synchronization: Organizational Units - Activate Business Partners.
