Use

Each user can change the layout of the Batch Information Cockpit screens as he or she requires.

Integration

When you save using This graphic is explained in the accompanying text, the settings are stored in the corresponding parameters for your user settings (Tools ® Administration ® User Maintenance ® Display Users; tab page Parameters).

Prerequisites

User Group Selection

The selection for user groups, which the system displays in the dropdown list box, is based on the user groups that you have created in Customizing for Batch Management under Batch Information Cockpit ® Define User-Group-Specific Selection.

Note

As a standard, SAP delivers the following user groups: SAP Standard, SAP Ex.1: Stock Overview, SAP Ex.2: Classification.

Selection Variant

To be able to select a selection variant, you must have created selection variants with default selection criteria in the BIC by choosing the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Selection Variant button.

Features

In the BIC, you can maintain your personal user settings by choosing Utilities ® User settings.

Start Settings

These new settings become effective when you re-enter the transaction.

·        User group assignment

If you want to use a user-group-specific selection setting, select the setting from the dropdown list box.

After you call the BIC, if you want to perform a selection with a specific selection variant, select the variant from the dropdown list box.

You can use the Automatic Selection at Start indicator to control whether you automatically perform a selection with the selection criteria from the selection variant when you access the transaction.

·        Navigation area

With regards to the navigation area, the following display options are available for the batch selection results, the stock selection results, and the worklist:

¡        Active

You use this indicator to specify which subarea is active in the BIC. In other words, which subarea can be opened by choosing the buttons This graphic is explained in the accompanying text, This graphic is explained in the accompanying text, and This graphic is explained in the accompanying text, and also which subarea is deactivated.

¡        Sequence

You can decide the order for the subareas on the screen.

¡        Display

You can use this indicator to define whether the affected area is displayed on accessing the transaction.

¡        List

You can define whether the area is initially displayed as a list.

·        Width of the navigation area

You can determine the initial width of the navigation area in millimeters.

·        Detail functions

You can use the F4 help to select the detail function (Batch Master/Batch Where-Used List). This is then called when you choose a batch in the navigation area.

Current Settings

These settings are active in the Batch Information Cockpit immediately after you save:

·        Display for the material

You can specify how the system displays the material (using material number or material short text) in the navigation area.

·        Database restrictions

Generally, you control the duration of the selection using the selection criteria. The more restrictive you make the selection criteria, the shorter the selection time.

Using this parameter, you can restrict the number of batches to be selected for each user. This way you can ensure that a less restrictive selection is canceled after the given number of batches has been found.

You can use this parameter value to reduce the user-group-specific value that is maintained in Customizing for Batch Management under Batch Information Cockpit ® Define User-Group-Specific Selection.

If this parameter has not been maintained in Customizing, nor in the user settings, the system automatically sets the value to 50.

·        Confirmation prompt: Worklist

You can use the two indicators to specify whether a confirmation prompt should appear when copying or deleting the selected batches in a worklist folder.
