Minimal Configuration for Knowledge
Management 
After the completion of the installation for usage type EP, you need to perform a number of configuration tasks to enable the basic use of Knowledge Management (KM). These tasks are essential to enable minimal use of KM features. To enable full use of all features, you need to install the Search and Classification Engine (TREX) and configure the scenario Enterprise Knowledge Management.
Make sure that you are logged on to the Portal as a super administrator or as the user specified for each task in the table below.
Perform the steps summarized in the following table. You can access a detailed explanation of each step with the available links.

When you have completed all the minimal configuration steps, restart the SAP Net Weaver Application server to activate the settings.
