The Tax Employee Self-Service enables an employee to display or print the Form IR8A.
From the tax year 2002 onwards, the employee may also have an option of obtaining the Form 8E instead of the Form IR8A.

Intranet - Employee Self-Service
There are no restrictions on which employee(s) are allowed to use the Employee Self-Service.
Employee must have an SAP user that is directly linked to their employee master data, through the Communication infotype (0105).
SAP delivers a standard role that contains all the necessary authorizations.

The ESS user with the necessary authorizations, can view his/her tax information.
To set up the SAP users, you have to make various settings in Customizing. For more information, choose Personnel Management ® Employee Self-Service in Customizing for Personnel Management.
In this scenario, any user who has a valid payroll result, can access his/her Form IR8A or Form 8E information. The tax form may have one of the following status:
· Original
· Additional
· Amended
The ESS configurations that you have set for the employee(s) determines the
the type of tax form availability through an ESS scenario. For example, the employee may be able to obtain only Form IR8A or Form 8E through the ESS. Alternatively, the employee may be able to obtain both types of tax forms.
Status of the tax forms available through the ESS. For example, the employee may be able to generate only the Original tax forms, or may have the option to generate the Original, Additional or Amended tax form.
