Document Search with Enterprise Knowledge Management 
Enterprise Knowledge Management provides a document repository framework that enables users to search across documents (unstructured data) using the search engine technology of Search and Classification (TREX). Enterprise Knowledge Management offers a central, role-specific point of entry to unstructured information (documents) from various data sources. This unstructured information can exist in different formats such as text documents, presentations, or HTML files and can reside in different repositories such as file servers, a corporate intranet, or the World Wide Web. KM uses a generic framework to integrate these data sources. KM functions support the user in structuring information and making it available to the correct target audience. These functions include search and classification functions supplied by TREX and subscriptions. You can distribute KM as well as TREX subcomponents on different servers for scalability purposes.
