You can search for documents by using search terms, as you would when you use search engines on the Internet. Depending on the configuration of your system, the search is either limited to documents within your company, or also includes pages on the Internet. You can also specify additional selected document properties in Document Management (CA-DMS). |
When you create company-specific iViews from the master iViews, you must adjust the parameter values to your company. The following overview provides information on how to select these values.
Check whether the parameter values exist:
·
Parameter:
Path to Initially Displayed Folder
·
Description:
Path to folder that is displayed initially when you call the iView.
·
Parameter value:
/dms
For the optional parameters, you can enter company-specific parameter values. For detailed information, see the technical documentation for each iView.
The document data is determined from an SAP system (see Making Settings for the mySAP ERP DMS Connector for KM).
Documents that comply with the following prerequisites are displayed on all three pages:
· At least one original application file exists for a document info record.
· You have saved the original application file using Knowledge Provider (KPro) in a storage system.
In the search, the system only finds documents that are entered in a search index. A prerequisite for creating a search index is the configuration of the index service. For more information, see Installing an Info Center and the document Indexes in Knowledge Management.
