This means that you can, for example, store the attributes of a starting material that cannot or should not be placed in storage.
In the production of chromium-nickel steel, the percentage portions of carbon, chrome, and nickel in the metal melt is important. Further production steps such as rolling or cutting do not changes these attributes. The attributes can be stored in an original batch for the metal melt, and are valid for all batches produced from this particular metal melt.
Structure
An original batch is uniquely identified by the batch number, the material, and the plant.
The data from the original batch is stored in a standard batch master record. A batch only becomes an original batch when you assign it to a purchase order or a production order.
