Folder Selection iView in BEx Broadcaster 

For the folder selection dialog to work, the BW system must be maintained correctly, as described in BW System in Portal System Landscape. Additionally, the table RSPOR_T_PORTAL must be maintained correctly. Go to transaction SM30 in the connected BW backend and check the top-level domain in the column Portal URL prefix for the line that is marked as Default. The default might be changed on a per-user basis by the set/get parameter RSPOR_DEFAULT_PORTAL (System  ® User Profile  ® Own Data  ® Parameters). See function module RSPOR_PORTALS_READ for details. The folder selection dialog will display an error message if the domains do not match.

 

 

Additional reasons can be that the URL maintained in RSPOR_T_PORTAL is completely wrong. This will result in a page could not be found error. The Portal URL Prefix must be identical to the one used to call the portal in a web browser. Also, check for errors with logon tickets as described in JCo Exception Occurred: Key=RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE, Group=103.
