Use

When creating a Web service client in the Object Navigator, you can choose UDDI as the source of your WSDL document.

Procedure

       1.      Choose a Registry. You will already have set up the available Registries.  For more information, see Maintaining UDDI Registries.

       2.      Copy the URL you want to the client proxy definition wizard.

Search for a service definition

·        Enter the name of the service definition in the dialog box that appears.

If you do not know the name, enter a percentage symbol (“%”) in the Name field. The “%” symbol can also be used as a wild card with other characters (for example, “My%”.)  You can also limit the results list by choosing specific identifications and categories. 

·        Choose the Search pushbutton. 

The system displays a list of the available service definitions.

·        Choose a definition.

·        Choose the Service Definition Details. The URL (where the WSDL document for the WSD is stored) is displayed. Choose Copy URL.

Note

The Copy URL button is displayed if there is a link to a more in-depth service description, such as a WSDL document.

Search for a service

·        Enter the name of the service.

If you do not know the name of the service, enter a percentage symbol (“%”) in the Name field.

·        Choose the Search pushbutton.

·        Choose a service from the list.

·        Choose the Binding Templates tab, then choose the HTTP address that is displayed.

·        Choose the Implementation Details tab.

·        Choose the tModel.

·        Choose the Service Definition Details tab.

·        Choose Copy URL.

Search for a service provider

·        Enter the name of the service provider.

If you do not know the name of the service, enter a percentage symbol (“%”) in the Name field.

·        In the list that appears, choose a service from this provider and proceed as described in Search for a service.
