Additionals: Business Object Methods
Use
You can use the various methods of the Additionals business object (BUS2106) to exchange additionals data with external communication partners. Available methods include:
Features
Replicate
methodExternal communication partners can use this method to request additional IDocs from a SAP retailing system. When you call a method, status information is transferred to the communication partner indicating whether the data requested can be transferred. The additionals data is then transferred asynchronously by ALE to the communications partner. Each time you call a method, additionals data is transferred.
You order merchandise from a vendor. The vendor commissions a different vendor to print the tickets for the merchandise. The tickets vendor requests data from your SAP Retail retailing system at the appropriate point, and can thus retrieve the most up-to-date retail prices.
If you want to generate and transfer an additionals IDoc following an external request, you must enter the appropriate follow-up action for the procedure for additionals and the event in Customizing. Before you can send an additionals IDoc to an external communications partner, you must make the relevant site settings (partner type: vendor) in ALE.
ChangeStatus
methodAdditional IDoc recipients can use this method to confirm the IDoc processing status. This information is updated in the IDoc and in the corresponding additionals document.
A subsystem confirms if labels were generated successfully using the additionals IDoc.
GetPurList
methodAn external business partner can use this method to query planned purchase order volumes for additionals in your system. An analysis of existing additionals documents finds the data that refers to planned purchase orders for additionals.
An imprinter asks your company to confirm which additionals purchase orders he will receive in the next four weeks and what size the purchase orders will be. Imprinters can use this type of information to plan production runs.
