Overview of ALE Integration Scenarios 

The following graphic provides an overview of the ALE integration scenarios. For each integration scenario, there is a multitude of possible ALE business processes.

 

 

SAP supports a range of ALE business processes, which are published in this documentation.

These predefined ALE business processes have been developed for Application Link Enabling and they include important application cases for distributing business functions and processes. They are supplied with the standard system.

The use of ALE business processes is facilitated by the ALE Implementation Guide and by the applications. Links to the actual steps in the IMG are included where appropriate.

You can find the ALE Implementation Guide under Tools ® AcceleratedSAP ® Customizing ® Edit Project, then choose SAP Reference IMG and Basis Components ® Application Link Enabling (ALE).

If you are connecting to external systems for which no predefined business processes have been defined, the Interface Adviser is available. The Interface Adviser supports you with the design and implementation of permanent interfaces between R/3 components and external components.
