Procedure

...

       1.      On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Logistics ® Retailing ® Master Data ® Article Hierarchy Data ® Change.

In the standard system, article hierarchy maintenance enables you to enter the detailed view with any hierarchy node. You can also enter article hierarchy maintenance via the article.

Options include:

¡        Entry with node ID only

If you branch to detail maintenance from a node in the hierarchy, you can select a node using the search help or enter a node ID and key date (for scheduled hierarchy) directly. You always enter detail maintenance via the parent node of the selected node ID.

¡        Entry with article number only

If you branch to detail maintenance from an article in the hierarchy, you can select an article using the search help or enter an article number and key date (for scheduled hierarchy) directly. You always enter detail maintenance via the parent node of the node to which the selected article is directly assigned.

If the selected article is assigned multiple times in the hierarchy, a list of all assignments of the article appears, and you have to select one assignment. If the chosen article has several schedule records, you can select a key date.

On the details screen, the uppermost node in the tree display is the parent node of the node to which the article is assigned directly. On the Article Assignments title element, the selected article is displayed in the first row and is highlighted.

¡        Entry with node ID and article number

If you branch to detail maintenance with an article in the hierarchy and limit the search for an article using the article search help (because you always work with articles for a certain node), you can choose this node first as an additional selection criterion.

When you call the article search help, the preset node ID will be taken into consideration in the search using the article hierarchy search help. You enter the tree search help with the chosen node ID.

On the details screen, the uppermost node in the tree display is the parent node of the node that is preset on the initial screen. On the Article Assignments title element, the selected article is displayed in the first row and is highlighted.

       2.      You assign nodes to an article hierarchy on the Node Assignments title element.

If you want to display, change or delete an existing article hierarchy you have the option to specify a hierarchy node beside the hierarchy ID. The result of this is that you can then enter the article hierarchy at every user-defined hierarchy level.

       3.      On the Node Attributes title element, you assign characteristics and customer-specific characteristics to the node in the article hierarchy.

       4.      On the Article Assignments title element, you assign articles to the nodes in the article hierarchy. You can assign them manually, using the article search help or by selecting articles.

       5.      On the Language-Dependent Descriptions title element, you assign language-dependent descriptions to the selected hierarchy nodes.

       6.      On the Free Text title element, you create a free text field for each node.
