Special functions are delivered for monitoring the applications in SAP NetWeaver Universal Worklist. In addition, the general monitoring and logging applications in the portal are available.
With the monitoring architecture in CCMS (Computing Center Management System), SAP provides a universally usable infrastructure that you can use to centrally monitor your entire IT landscape. The monitoring architecture is delivered with every SAP Web Application Server.
For information about the configuration of CCMS, see Supportability Setup Guide on the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/instguides ® SAP NetWeaver ® Release <nn> ® Operations.
UWL follows the standard logging configuration with the SAP Web Application Server. A configuration file log-configuration.xml is provided. Default logging behavior is warning or severe level log and trace messages for respective categories or locations.
Traces are logged with readable format (to be retrieved and glanced through easily by administrator or testers or sent to developers).
Logs are logged with the ListFormat defined by the logging library and can be viewed with Log Viewer in the Visual Administrator.
Logging configuration can be modified at runtime using the Visual Administrator.
