Purpose

This process describes how you use the competitor price entry function to create price entry lists for competitor prices, enter competitor prices and transfer them to the system.

Process Flow

  1. You use the competitor price entry function to create price entry lists in the system for particular articles, organizational levels and competitors.

You can specify which of your own stores are to enter the competitor prices for individual price entry lists.

For further information, see Creating and Printing Price Entry Lists.

  1. Print out the price lists created in the system and send them to the stores that are to enter the competitor prices.
  2. Employees from the stores you have chosen are sent to the competitors' stores, where they note the relevant competitor prices in the price entry lists.
  3. Once they have been filled out, the price entry lists are sent back to head office.
  4. At head office, the competitor prices are transferred to the price entry lists created in the system and posted to the database as condition records.

For further information, see Entering and Activating Competitor Prices.

Results

You can use the sales price calculation function to display and change the competitor prices that are entered in the system as condition records. You can also use these competitor prices to generate a suggested price.
