Procedure documentationDisplaying the User's Memory Usage Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Prerequisites

You are already in the User List screen (SM04; User list screen).

Procedure

You can display the usage of the various Structure linkSAP memory types by choosing Goto ® Memory. Select the user(s) that you want to display the usage for. If you do not select any, the memory overview displays the usage for all users.

Client:

SAP Client

User

User logged on to server (SAP user name)

Transaction

Executed SAP transaction (transaction code)

Roll

The Structure linkroll area holds the user environment information needed by work processes when executing dialog steps.

Page

SAP Paging is only used for a limited number of ABAP commands.

Mem(sum )

Specifies how much of the Structure linkSAP extended memory was requested by this user.

Mem(Private )

Structure linkPrivate memory (heap memory) requested by the user.

The order in which the various memory classes are assigned to the dialog work process is described under Structure linkAllocating Memory for User Contexts.

Session Details

The total memory consumed for each user from all sessions is added together in the memory list.  

You can display the memory usage of each external session for one or several users.  To do this select the users in the memory list and choose Goto ® Memory List (Session Details).

ISession Details

Each external session consists of one or more internal sessions. To find out how much memory each of these internal sessions use, select the external sessions in the session details list and choose Goto ® Memory List (I-Session Details).
