Promotion in SAP Retail Store 

Use

This function enables you to display and confirm store-specific promotion information within SAP Retail Store It is used for the following purposes:

·        To provide information on existing promotions for a store

As a result, the head office does not have to provide information about the promotions in writing or via IDoc (promotion announcement).

·        To report requested quantities for promotions

Changes can be made as long as the confirmation date is not exceeded. As a result, the store does not have to inform the head office of its required quantities in writing or via IDoc. This also provides the store with an easy way of changing requested quantities that have already been entered, and as a result quickly react to any changes that may have been made to planning data.

Prerequisites

You must use the Promotion component in your company. Customizing settings must be made for promotions. For further information, see Promotion in the SAP Retail Store section of the Implementation Guide (IMG):

Users of this function are store associates who are responsible for planning deliveries to the store.

Authorization/security

The authorizations for promotions are used.

Standard settings and predefined data

A number of Customizing settings are relevant for this IAC. The settings Promotion types and Notification categories for allocation tables are important. These settings determine whether promotions can be displayed or and the quantities reported for them. The features correspond to those in transaction WAK10 (Display promotions for a store) and WAK11 (Confirm promotions for a store).
