This function is used for the following purposes:
· To display and change existing customer master record data
· To create master data for new customers
Intranet component
· Internal number assignment is configured for customer numbers in account group Sold-to party.
· In Customizing for the sales order under SAP Retail Store, you have defined whether you want to create customers as full customers, or with reduced master records.
· In Customizing for the sales order under SAP Retail Store, you have entered a reference customer that has a suitable sales segment for the sales area of the store. This reference customer is used to create corporate customers (companies) and also to create private customers (consumers) who are to be created as full customers.
· The reference customer is used as a template for consumers with reduced master records. You maintain this reference customer in the master data for the sold-to party in the SAP System. When a consumer is created in this way, the system reads missing data segments, such as sales data, from this reference customer. As a result, the sales segment of the reference customer must be suitable for the store.
Users of this function are store associates who create address data for a customer or create a master record for a new customer.
This function uses the general authorization concept of SAP Retail Store. You also require authorization to maintain customers in the SAP System.
You maintain the reference customer in the Customizing for sales orders in SAP Retail Store.
You maintain the reference customer for consumers with reduced master records in the master data for the sold-to party.
You can display and maintain names, addresses, and communication data. You can enter the first name, last name and date of birth for a consumer. You can enter the name of a corporate customer in up to four name fields.
The system automatically includes additional data for the customer master record from the template or reference customer. If you create a complete customer master record, the system creates a sales segment suitable for your store, and this is entered in the site master.
