SAP Tutor: Installation, Registration, and Customizing of CCMS Agents

This SAP Tutor describes the installation and registration of the CCMS agents for the most common scenarios:

·        Monitoring an ABAP instance with the SAPCCM4X agent

·        Monitoring a Java instance with the SAPCCMSR agent

·        Monitoring another component with the operating system collector SAPOSCOL and the SAPCCMSR agent

This SAP Tutor also describes log file and process monitoring and monitoring CCMS agents from the central monitoring system.

SAP Tutor: Availability Monitoring and CCMSPING

CCMSPING is a standalone program outside the SAP system, with which you can centrally monitor the availability of a large number of components. This SAP Tutor provides a summary of availability monitoring with CCMSPING, from the installation of the availability agent CCMSPING, through the configuration of availability monitoring to displaying the availability data in the alert monitor.

SAP Tutor: Configuring the Sending of E-Mails as an Auto-Reaction

The monitoring architecture allows you to define auto-reactions, which are automatically executed if an alert occurs. This tutorial shows the configuration of the method CCMS_OnAlert_Email, with which an e-mail is automatically sent to the administrator when an alert occurs.

SAP Tutor: Central Auto-Reactions

You can have auto-reaction methods executed locally (that is, in the system in which the alert occurred) or centrally (that is, in the central monitoring system). This tutorial describes the configuration of a local and of a central auto-reaction method using the example of an automatic alert notification by e-mail. The method is also assigned to specific nodes, and help for troubleshooting is provided.
