Customizing

ABAP

The Customizing settings you make for XML-based data archiving in an ABAP scenario are similar to those you make for ADK-based archiving and affect the following areas:

·        Basis-Customizing

·        Cross-archiving-object Customizing

·        Archiving-object-specific Customizing

For details on these see Data Archiving in the ABAP section of the Technical Operations Manual or the Structure linkXML Data Archiving documentation in the SAP Library.

JAVA

Currently any Customizing Settings you make for JAVA-stack archiving are specific to the application that offers the archiving set. Therefore, see the corresponding documentation:

·        Structure linkData Archiving in XI (Technical Operations Manual)

·        XI_SEC: Structure linkSecurity Archiving

·        XI_AF_MSG: Structure linkArchiving Messages

Scheduling jobs, archiving data and monitoring sessions

ABAP

The archiving procedure for XML-based data archiving in an ABAP scenario is similar to the procedure you follow for ADK-based archiving. These are described in detail under Data Archiving in the ABAP section of the Technical Operations Manual.

JAVA

Currently archiving in a JAVA scenario must be scheduled and monitored from within the application of the archiving set. For details on current archiving sets in XI see Structure linkSecurity Archiving and Structure linkMessage Archiving.
