For critical settings in the Collaboration area, SAP provides specific functions that check the plausibility of the settings and report any errors. This includes functions for troubleshooting in the following areas:
Area |
Troubleshooting |
E-Mail Connectivity |
If the system identifies problems with the configuration of the e-mail connectivity, it outputs the corresponding error codes. For the meaning of these error codes and a description of the solutions, see Troubleshooting for E-Mail Connectivity. |
Microsoft Exchange Connectivity |
In the case of problems with the Microsoft Exchange Connectivity, the system outputs error codes. For the meaning of these error codes and a description of the solutions, see Troubleshooting for Microsoft Exchange Connectivity. |
Lotus Domino Connectivity |
In the case of problems with Lotus Domino Connectivity, the system outputs error codes. For the meaning of these error codes and a description of the solutions, see Troubleshooting for Lotus Domino Connectivity. |
MSX-A Setup |
Since the setup and configuration of the MSX-A component requires special care, SAP delivers a special test application for the connectivity. You can use the predefined steps in this test application to check that the setup is correct. See Testing MSX-A Setup |
Synchronous Collaboration Framework (SCF) |
In the event of changes to the SCF configuration (configuration of the services for synchronous collaboration), the system checks the plausibility of the settings and outputs exception messages, if necessary. |
Room and room part templates |
Checks the completeness and plausibility of the settings in room templates and room part templates. The system automatically performs template validation when users creating templates. In template administration, you can launch the validation functions for individual templates manually. See Room Template Administration and Room Part Template Administration |
