Function documentation Store Order: Checking Offline Processing Data Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

A number of checks are carried out for each store order item before follow-on documents are created for the store order. If a serious error is found (for example, no article identification exists), the item has the status ‘Incorrect’ and is logged accordingly. However, a check can also lead to data being changed, if, for example, quantity optimizing is necessary, and this requires making changes to quantities.

Features

Multiple Processing Check

If the relevant Customizing setting is made, the system creates a log (with a reference number) of which store orders have already been processed successfully. The reference number (external requirement number) can be transferred in the store order. If this is missing, the system assigns the reference number internally on the basis of the IDoc number during processing.

If the reference number is included in the store order, the system does not process a store order more than once, even if it was inadvertently sent more than once. Without this check, an article may be ordered more than once for a store, if the same file is mistakenly sent to the head office more than once, for example.

Data Completeness Check

The system needs at least an article identification (for example, an internal article number or EAN/UPC) and quantities before it can process a store order item. If this information is missing, the order item is incorrect and is logged accordingly. If this error occurs, follow-on documents cannot be generated.

Quantity Optimizing

You can define a rounding profile for an article. Depending on the document type of the store order, the profile affects a purchase order, a delivery, or a sales order. Purchase requisitions are not taken into consideration in quantity optimizing, as quantities are not optimized until purchase requisitions are converted into purchase orders.

Depending on the rounding profile, quantities are optimized per order item. Minimum and maximum quantities (if defined) are also taken into account.

Aggregating Items of the Same Article

If you activate this function in Customizing, several items of the same article are grouped together in an IDoc during follow-on document generation. The individual quantities are added together.
