Object documentation Actual Markups Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Definition

Actual markups in sales price calculations are percentage reductions or increases (condition amounts) in the purchase price.

They are connected to the actual mark-up (absolute), which are absolute reductions or increases in the purchase price.

Use

The actual markup and the absolute amount of the actual markup are included in the pricing table in list fields AUFSG and AUFSA.

Note

Since both list fields are dependent on each other, all you have to do is make the required setting for one list field in Control Data for Pricing Table and Data Backup in Customizing for Pricing. The list field AUFSA was selected. Entries in the list field AUFSG in the calculation schema are therefore not taken into account.

When a sales price is calculated, the actual markup is adjusted to ensure that when you run the sales price calculation schema with the actual markup value, it results in the current sales price.

You must make the necessary settings in Customizing for Sales and Distribution when you enter this condition type in the sales price calculation schema to ensure that the actual markup and the absolute actual markup are modeled correctly.

You can use the model calculation schema WWS001 and its control parameters for data transfer as an example of how the actual markup is used.

Example

The following example describes the relationship between the list fields Actual markup and Final Price:

The purchase price (net/net) of an article is 10 USD. A planned markup of 5% exists.

If the system were to ignore other conditions, such as taxes, a sales price or end price of 10.50 USD would be calculated. The actual markup would thus be the same as the planned markup.

Price point rounding could change the sales price, to 10.99 USD, for example. This value is displayed in the Final price field. The actual markup has therefore increased to 9.9%.

If you manually change the final price in the pricing table to 11.50 USD, you get an actual markup of 15%. You can also change the actual markup manually in the pricing table.
