Definition
Group of single articles or variants of one or more generic articles that is sold as a separate article and as such has an article number, sales price, and sales price conditions. The components of a set can belong to different merchandise categories and can also have different tax rates. However, the set itself must always have a single tax rate. It is normally assembled at the retailer's.
The stock is managed at component level if the components can also be sold individually, but it can also be managed at set level.
Use
Sets are usually handled in one of the following ways:
The components are packaged together and can often also be sold individually.
Price sets are formed only by the assignment of a joint sales price. This price is normally lower than the total sales price of each of the components which can always also be sold individually. The components are not packaged together.
Integration
When creating a set, be sure to assign the correct article category to it.
