Displaying Differently Maintained Areas of Validity

By choosing Diff. validity areas on the data screens for the following user departments, you can display the areas of validity whose data has been maintained differently to the reference area of validity. For each area of validity, the system also displays the fields that have been maintained differently (provided the system has been configured accordingly in Customizing for the Article Master in Assign Fields to Field Selection Groups). Fields that are normally maintained differently from site to site are not displayed (see Reference Logistics Data and Differently Maintained Logistics Data).

In this user department, you can choose Diff. validity areas only if the article is a generic article. The list displayed contains the variants whose basic data is maintained differently to the generic article. In the case of basic data, the individual fields that are differently maintained are displayed. The system also indicates whether units of measure, layout modules, cash register receipt texts, tax data, and informative characteristics have been differently maintained.

Displaying Identically Maintained Areas of Validity

By choosing Ident. validity areas on a user department data screen, you can display the areas of validity whose data has been maintained identically to the reference area of validity. The areas of validity displayed for each user department correspond to those displayed for differently maintained areas of validity. For example, for the user department Basic Data, the identically maintained variants are displayed. However, there are two exceptions:

No identically maintained sites are displayed.

No distribution-chain-specific reference stores are displayed.
