Procedure

Report groups are defined in the Configurator application in the Report Group Configuration component. Once configured, report groups appear in the Report Groups section of the Reports window. You can automatically generate, save, and print the reports that belong to report groups.

For example, your organization may require that specific reports are generated and printed at the end of every day. An end-of-day report group defined in the Configurator application could consist of a Sales report, a Discount report, and a Tender report. For more information about report groups, see Configurator.

To generate and print reports from report groups:

  1. In the Reports menu, click Reports.

  2. To view the list of reports that belong to a report group, in the Name column click the report group link. To view the contents of each report in the group, click Run Report and then click the report group link.

  3. To set the report group for printing, click Print adjacent to the report group name.

  4. To print the entire report group a specific number of times, enter a number in # Copies.

    Note Note

In the Configurator application, each report is configured to print a specific number of times. If some or all of the reports in the report group are set to print two times, for example, and you enter 2 in # Copies (you want to print two copies of each report in the report group), then four copies of the reports set to print two copies are printed.

    End of the note.
  5. To save the report group settings in the database for printing at a later date, click Save.

  6. To run the reports in the report group and print or save the report group, click Run Report.
