This section describes how to configure tax profiles for items.

Each item can be subject to a tax or a series of taxes depending on the type of product or tax jurisdiction of the retail operation. The tax group table contains a list of all the possible taxes that are applicable to all items for sale in the store, or those that apply to the store’s tax jurisdiction. You must configure a tax group that lists all the taxes that apply to an item and specify that profile when you define the PLU item to apply the appropriate taxes to an item.
