Activating People ExplorerLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

  • You are assigned the Workspaces System Administration role.

  • You are assigned the portal System Admin role.

Context

People Explorer can be activated only in enterprise workspaces installations on SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3 or higher.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to Start of the navigation path Workspace Administration Next navigation step Configuration End of the navigation path.
  2. Select the Tools tab.
  3. Under the Additional Functionality group, in the People Explorer tool, choose Go.

    The People Explorer Configuration screen appears, and displays the current status: Active or Inactive.

  4. Choose the required actions:

    Adds or removes the following options to or from the Social Hub menu in the portal masthead:

    Start of the navigation path People Next navigation step People Explorer End of the navigation path

    Start of the navigation path People Next navigation step My Profile End of the navigation path

    Note

    You can add the People Explorer options only when the status is Active.

    Delete all People Explorer user data

    Delete

    Deletes all People Explorer user data. The People Explorer configuration of attributes, entities, and relationships is not deleted.

    You may want to use this option to remove existing user data, before loading new or updated data.

    Activates or deactivates People Explorer.
