Transporting the Configuration of Enterprise WorkspacesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

The configuration of enterprise workspaces is stored in the Portal Catalog, under Start of the navigation path Portal Content Next navigation step Portal Users Next navigation step Workspace Users Next navigation step Configuration End of the navigation path, in the following iViews:

When changing between systems, such as a development, a QA or a production system, you must transport these iViews using the portal transport mechanism.

Note

To configure enterprise workspaces properties, you use the configuration screen, located at Start of the navigation path Workspace Administration Next navigation step Configuration End of the navigation path. For more information, see Configuring Enterprise Workspaces Properties.

The following table describes the type of properties stored in each iView:

Properties for configuring various aspects of enterprise workspaces, such as content providers, system settings, general features, features related to workspaces and to modules.

Mail Messages Container

E-mail notification strings. For example, the e-mail notification to send when a user is added as a member to a workspace. For more information, see Configuring E-Mail Notifications.

Navigation Target

Paths to iViews to display to users on specific occasions, such as when trying to access a closed workspace. For more information, see Configuring Custom Screens.

Services

Service Implementations. For example, you can modify the implementation of the service Determine Personal Workspace Template, so that different users use different templates to create their personal workspace. For more information, see Configuring Workspace Properties.
