Configuring the Frequency of Collecting StatisticsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

The ListenerService listens to actions performed on modules, pages, and workspaces, to collect statistic data. The data is used for the queries feature in enterprise workspaces. For more information, see Running a Query.

You can configure the frequency in which statistic data is collected by this service. Reducing the frequency may improve performance.

Note

The instructions are different in SAP NetWeaver Portal version 7.0x and in version 7.3x.

Prerequisites

You are assigned the portal System Admin role.

Procedure
Configuring the Frequency of Collecting Statistics (in 7.0x)
  1. In the portal, navigate to Start of the navigation path System Administration Next navigation step System Configuration Next navigation step Service Configuration End of the navigation path.

  2. In the Portal Catalog, choose Start of the navigation path Applications Next navigation step tc~spaces~statistics Next navigation step Services Next navigation step ListenerService End of the navigation path.

  3. In the context menu of ListenerService, select Configure.

  4. Configure the property Interval for saving statistics data (in minutes) and save your changes.

  5. In the context menu of tc~spaces~statistics application, select Administrate.

  6. From the list of services, restart the ListenerService service.

Configuring the Frequency of Collecting Statistics (in 7.3x)
  1. In SAP NetWeaver Administrator, navigate to Start of the navigation path Configuration Next navigation step Infrastructure Next navigation step Application Modules End of the navigation path.

  2. In the Module List area, use the filter to search for tc~spaces~statistics.

  3. In the Web Module Details area, select ListenerService.

  4. Configure the property Interval for saving statistics data (in minutes).

  5. Choose Save.

  6. Restart the ListenerService service. For more information, see Starting and Stopping Portal Services.
