Adding the Tabstrip to Your Framework PagesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

  • You are assigned the portal Content Admin role.

Context

This section describes how to add the enterprise workspaces tabstrip to the framework pages in use.

You need to perform this procedure for the framework pages provided by SAP and for custom framework pages.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to Start of the navigation path Content Administration Next navigation step Portal Content Management End of the navigation path.
  2. In the Portal Catalog, open your framework page:
    • Classic/Headerless Framework Page: Start of the navigation path Portal Content Next navigation step Portal Users Next navigation step Standard Portal Users Next navigation step Classic Framework Page End of the navigation path

    • Ajax/Ajax Headerless Framework Page: Start of the navigation path Portal Content Next navigation step Portal Users Next navigation step Standard Portal Users Next navigation step Ajax Framework Content Next navigation step Ajax Framework Page End of the navigation path

    • Light Framework Page: Start of the navigation path Portal Content Next navigation step Portal Users Next navigation step Standard Portal Users Next navigation step Light Framework Page End of the navigation path

    Note

    The Headerless Framework Page and the Ajax Headerless Framework Page are located within the Classic Framework Page and Ajax Framework Page, respectively.

  3. In the Portal Catalog, choose Start of the navigation path Content Provided by SAP Next navigation step Admin Interfaces Next navigation step Admin iView Templates End of the navigation path and select the suitable tabstrip:
    • TabStrip - The tabstrip is in an area that is reloaded with each navigation. Used for the Default/Classic Framework Page, for the Headerless Framework Page, and for the Light Framework Page.

    • TabStrip for Ajax Framework Page - The tabstrip is loaded only once, and not with every navigation. Used for the Ajax Framework Page and for the Ajax Headerless Framework Page.

  4. Add the relevant TabStrip iView to the top of your framework page layout, according to the page type:
    Note

    By default, the tabstrip is added to the bottom of the page.

    • Classic Framework Page and Headerless Framework Page:

      1. Open the Desktop Innerpage page.

      2. Add the TabStrip iView to the page.

      3. Select the Page Layout option.

      4. Move the TabStrip iView to the top of the page, above the content area.

    • Ajax Framework Page and Ajax Headerless Framework Page: Set the tabstrip container to Page Tool Bar Container and place it below the Ajax Page Toolbar.

    • Light Framework Page

      1. Open the Light Desktop Innerpage page.

      2. Add the TabStrip iView to the page.

      3. Select the Page Layout option.

      4. Move the TabStrip iView to the top of the page.

    • Custom framework page: Move the tabstrip above the content area.

  5. Save your changes.
