Removing Applications from the LauncherLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

There are two ways to remove applications from the launcher.

  • Directly from the launcher

  • Via the gallery

Note

You cannot remove applications that have been defined as permanent by an administrator.

Procedure
Removing Applications Directly from the Launcher

  1. In the launcher, locate the application that you want to remove.

  2. Touch and hold the application to enter edit mode, and tap the trash can icon.

  3. Tap Done to exit edit mode.

Removing Applications Via the Gallery

  1. In the gallery, locate the application that you want to remove.

  2. Tap the application to open it in the detailed view.

  3. Tap Remove.

Result

The application is removed from the launcher and the green check mark on the application icon in the gallery is removed.

Note

When you remove a native application from the launcher, you are only removing the icon. The application remains installed on the device until you remove it manually, unless otherwise configured by your administrator.
