Configuring the GalleryLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

The Mobile App Gallery displays all of the applications that users can add to the launcher. Administrators can make the following changes to the gallery:

  • Change the name of the gallery.

  • Remove the gallery from the launcher. Note that if the gallery is not displayed to users, they will be able to rearrange the content in the launcher, but they will not be able to add applications to their launcher.

Procedure
Change the Name of the Gallery

  1. In the portal, go to Start of the navigation path Content Administration Next navigation step Portal Content Management End of the navigation path.

  2. In the Portal Catalog, open Start of the navigation path Portal Content Next navigation step Portal Users Next navigation step Standard Portal Users Next navigation step Smartphone/Tablet Framework Page - Personalize End of the navigation path.

  3. In the Page editor, open the Personalized Launcher Utilities iView.

  4. In the Properties editor, choose All, and locate the App Gallery property.

  5. Provide a new name for the gallery, and save your changes.

Remove the Gallery from the Launcher

  1. In the portal, go to Start of the navigation path Content Administration Next navigation step Portal Display Next navigation step Framework Page Configuration End of the navigation path.

  2. In the Framework Page Name (Desktop Name) dropdown list, select one of the following framework pages:

    • Smartphone Framework Page - Personalize

    • Tablet Framework Page - Personalize

  3. In the Mobile App Gallery category, deselect the Show in Launcher checkbox.

  4. Save your changes.
