Upgrading Document List Modules to Enable KM SearchLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

  • You are assigned the Workspaces System Administration role.

  • You are assigned the portal System Admin role.

Context

In versions 1.0 SPx of enterprise workspaces, when searching in a document list module, you could view each search result only as a standalone document.

As of version 1.1, enterprise workspaces enable viewing a search result in the context of the workspace in which it appears, which also improves performance.

To use this capability, you need to perform the following steps:

  1. When upgrading from version 1.0 to a higher version, such as 1.1, you need to use the Enable KM Search for Document List Modules upgrade tool, as described in this section.

  2. Perform the configuration steps described in: Configuring KM Search for Enterprise Workspaces.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to Start of the navigation path Workspace Administration Next navigation step Configuration End of the navigation path.
  2. Select the Tools tab.
  3. In the Enable KM Search for Document List Modules tool, choose Go.
  4. In the window that opens, choose Run.
  5. Choose OK in the confirmation message box.
