Creating and Adjusting Content for Consumption on Device

Since it is not possible to create, organize and preconfigure content directly on a mobile device, workspace owners and/or managers should perform the following tasks before users access enterprise workspaces on device:

• If modules require configuration, preconfigure them on the desktop.

• Modules that are not supported on device will either display an error message instead of their content, or not display the content properly.

• Create or adjust the workspace content on the desktop so as to ensure optimal user experience on device. This includes page layouts, distribution of content on pages, module positioning, sizing, and configuration of compact view.

• Preview and test the content on device

Development Considerations

When developing custom modules and UIs for consumption on a mobile device, consider the following:

• Adobe Flex is not supported by iOS 5

• Using any Enterprise Workspaces client-side API results in a runtime error

• Replacing the standard tabstrip with a custom implementation is not supported

• Extending module view options is not supported
