Use

The personalized launcher in portal on device includes the following components:

  • A launcher, similar to the launcher in portal on device, where you can add and remove content, and rearrange content according to your needs.

  • A gallery displaying all of the content available to you, based on the roles to which you are assigned and the device type that you are using.

    The gallery contains a list view where all of the available applications are displayed. Your administrator may have created categories to group the applications. You may also see some applications marked as New or Recommended.

    Tapping on an application in the gallery opens a detailed view displaying additional details about the application, and enabling you to add or remove the application.

When you first open the launcher, it may already contain some content added by your administrator, or it may be empty. You can then decide which content to add or remove. Changes that you make to the launcher are saved per device, so that you can personalize your launcher in one way for your smartphone and in another way for your tablet device.
