You can enhance portal themes by adding one or more Flex styles to them. For example, you can add a style that changes the hover color or the selection color of a portal theme. You add Flex styles by adding .swf files to a theme.

Note Note

To modify and pack your Flex styles, you must use Flex SDK 3.2.

End of the note.

To change the style of the module title bar and the module frame, you must use a standard HTML CSS. For example, use this CSS to change the icons used for the buttons in the module header, or the color of the module frame.

Prerequisites

  • You are assigned the portal System Admin role.

  • You are assigned the Workspace System Administration role.

  • You have downloaded the sample project, which includes all the provided styles (Flex and HTML CSS), to help you create your own styles. For more information, see Customizing Flex Styles.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to   Workspace Administration   Themes  .

  2. In the Portal Theme dropdown list, select the theme that you want to enhance.

    Note Note

Select the Default Styles theme to add styles that affect all themes that have no specific styles assigned.

    End of the note.
  3. Choose Upload to add files to the Available Styles table.

  4. In the Select file(s) to upload dialog box, in the Files of type dropdown list, select the type of file to upload: Flex (*.swf) or Standard HTML CSS (*.zip),

Locate and select the file to upload. For more information about the SWF file location, see Changing and Compiling CSS Files.

  5. Use the Add and Remove buttons to populate the Assigned Styles table with the styles that you would like to apply to the selected theme.

  6. Use the Move style up in list (Move style up in list) and Move style down in
list (Move style down in list) buttons to order the styles in the list.

    Note Note

The styles are used in the order in which they are listed, top-down. This means that when two styles overlap, the one that appears first in the list takes precedence. We recommend assigning SAP default styles (SAPEnterpriseWorkspaces) below your custom styles.

    End of the note.
  7. Choose Save.
