To ensure correct loading of Flex applications in Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 browsers, you need to configure the HTTP Provider service of the server.

Prerequisites

  • You are assigned the portal System Admin role.

  • This configuration requires restarting the portal. Therefore, to avoid an additional restart, we recommend performing the configuration before the installation of enterprise workspaces.

Procedure

  1. In Visual Administrator, go to the HTTP Provider service of the server.

    On Windows platforms, run:

    <Drive>:\usr\sap\<SAPSID>\<Instance Name>\j2ee\admin\go.bat

    On UNIX platforms, enter the following command line:

    /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/<Instance Name>/j2ee/admin/go.sh

  2. Choose the Properties tab.

  3. Locate the Never Compressed property.

  4. Add *.swf and application/x-shockwave-flash to the list.

  5. Choose Update.

  6. Choose Save.

  7. Restart the J2EE server.
