You can configure the system-defined retention period which is used in case the content administrator has not specified a custom retention period when marking the object for archiving.

Prerequisites

You have the System Admin portal role assigned to your user.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to   System Administration   System Configuration   Content Management   Global Services   (Show Advanced Options)   ArchivingRetentionService  , and then choose Edit.

  2. Configure the parameters of the service as follows:

    • To configure the system-defined retention period, specify the required period in years in the Retention Period input field.

      Note Note

      The entry must be a positive integer greater than zero.

    • To activate or deactivate the service, choose Show Advanced Options, and then select or deselect the Active parameter.

Result

The archiving retention service is activated and preconfigured in the standard delivery.
