Procedure documentationEstablishing a Connection with ES Repository Locate this document in the navigation structure

 

You use this procedure to connect to the Enterprise Services Repository. You must establish a connection with ES Repository to either create interface objects in NWDS or reuse the existing interface objects of ES Repository.

Prerequisites

You have obtained the HTTP or HTTPS (for secure connection) port number and login details of the ES Repository system to which you want to connect.

Procedure

  1. In the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio, choose   Window   Preferences   Web Services   Enterprise Service Browser.  

  2. Enter the necessary details of the system that contains ESR.

  3. To ensure secure connection using HTTPS, choose Secure Connection (HTTPS).

  4. Choose OK.

    System defines a connection between ESR and NDWS.

  5. Choose   Window   Other Perspective   Other.  

  6. In the Open Perspective dialog box, select Enterprise Services Repository.

  7. Choose OK.

  8. Choose Connect to ESR.

  9. In the Logon to ES Repository dialog box, enter the user name and password of the system that contains ESR.

  10. Choose OK.
