Installing Devices TypeLocate this document in the navigation structure

Installation of a device type that does not yet exist in the system.

Context

You can install the missing device type in two ways:

Procedure

  1. In the traditional way, as described in SAP Note 6427 Information published on SAP site.
  2. You can also use the device type wizard (Unicode) to do this:
    1. On the initial screen of the wizard, choose Install Device Types.
    2. A new window appears. Follow the instructions displayed in it.
