Defining an Output Device for a Direct Operating System Call (Access Method C)

Prior to defining the output device, you must define your printer in one of the following ways:

• Defining the Printer in the IBM i Using an Output Queue Object (*OUTQ)

• Defining the Printer in the IBM i Using a Device Description Object (*DEVD)
