Use

You can navigate to both the Business Navigator and the Business Object Repository from the Data Modeler:

Process

Navigating to the Business Navigator

  1. Switch to the definition screen of an entity type.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Functions/Processes End of the navigation path.

    If an assignment exists, a dialog box appears showing the functions for which the entity type is used as an input or output parameter.

  3. Select a function.

    The detail view of the function is displayed.

  4. You can display the process graphically by choosing Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Process End of the navigation path.

    Note

    You can also switch from the graphic display to the Business Navigator by selecting the entity type and choosing Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Functions/Processes End of the navigation path.

Navigating to the Business Object Repository

  1. Switch to the definition screen of your data model.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Object Type End of the navigation path.

If an assignment exists, you enter the Business Object Repository. You will find more information about the Business Object Repository in the WF - SAP Business Workflow documentation.

Note

You can also switch from the graphic display to the Business Object Repository. To do this, select a data model and choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Object Type End of the navigation path.

Display Mode

If no assignment exists, an error message is displayed.

Maintenance mode

Maintenance mode If no assignment exists and the Business object checkbox was selected, you will create a business object in the following. Otherwise you will generate an object type.

  1. In the Goto menu, choose the Object Type option.

  2. In the subsequent dialog box, confirm the creation of the object.

  3. In the next dialog box, enter the definition of the object.

    Note

    The name and the short text of the object should correspond to the name and short text of the data model.
