Enabling the Portal to Process Asynchronous Web Dynpro ViewsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

Administrator authorization is required.

Context

The Web Dynpro Java framework supports processing asynchronous views, also for integrated versions in SAP Enterprise Portal.

Procedure


  1. Start the Portal Content Administrator via Content Administrat Start of the navigation path ion Next navigation step Portal Content. End of the navigation path

  2. Select a folder in the Portal C ontent tree, goto Web Dynpro Applications.

  3. Open the context menu in the content tree on tc~wd~<Web Dynpro component> ~async~< EmbeddedApplication> .

    Note

    The embedded application is the logical application unit you created in Web Dynpro Explorer.

  4. Select Copy .

  5. Open the context menu on Portal Applications , and select Paste as PCD Object . Follow the wizard.

  6. To start the application, select Preview from the context menu on the embedded application.

  7. In the appearing window, replace the URL parameter sap-config-mode=true with sap-wd-embedding=New&sap-wd-client=AjaxClient.
