The section specifies the important error messages that can occur and makes recommendations on how you can react to those error situations.
Deleting an Interface from an Action (Action Editor)
Message: This interface can still be assigned to a connection. Do you want to continue?
If an interface is still used in connections in Process Integration scenarios, then this can lead to inconsistencies during deletion since the affected Process Integration scenarios are not updated automatically and connections continue to refer to the interface that no longer exists.
We therefore recommend that you first ensure that this interface is no longer used in a Process Integration scenario.
Deleting an Action (Action Editor)
Message: This action can still be assigned to a Process Integration Scenario. Do you want to continue? .
Not all Process Integration scenarios where the action is used are updated automatically if an action is deleted. It can therefore lead to an inconsistent status when deleting an action: The action is still displayed in the Process Integration scenario graphic but no longer exists as an object.
We therefore recommend that you first ensure that this action is no longer used in a Process Integration scenario.
Removing Selected Actions (Process Integration Scenario Graphic)
Message: All selected actions and assigned connection will be deleted. Do you want to continue?
If you continue, all selected actions and assigned connections are removed from the Process Integeation scenario graphic. The connections are finally deleted. The settings for interfaces or mappings for the affected connections are irretrievably lost.
Double-Clicking Actions in the Process Integration Scenario Graphic (Process Integration Scenario Graphic)
Message: Object not found (...)
Possible causes for this message:
The software component that belongs to this action has not yet been installed in your system. Therefore the action does not exist in your system as a standalone object of the Enterprise Services Builder. The action is displayed in the Process Integration scenario graphic but it is not possible to navigate to the actual action object. It is not possible to display and change actions in this way.
The software component that belongs to the action has been installed in your system, but not in the software component version that was used when the action was originally created. In this case, the action is also displayed in the graphic but it is not possible to display or change the action.
In this way you can display the Process Integration scenario completely, even if some of the products involved are not yet installed in your system. However, it is only possible to navigate to the relevant objects (acitons, interfaces) once you have installed the relevant software component versions.
