You have opened a Process Integration scenario. The Process Integration scenario contains at least two actions.
The following three situations are possible for defining a connection between two actions - with one specific connection type resulting from each.
If both actions follow each other directly in the same application component, then you can define a Sequence between both of those actions.
If both actions belong to different application components and communicate synchronously with each other, then you can define a Synchronous Connection . In this case, both actions have to be at the same level in the Process Integratio scenario graphic.
If both actions belong to different application components and communicate asynchronously with each other, then you can define a Asynchronous Connection . The follow-on action must be one level deeper than the source action for this.
You can create a Connection between two actions.
Select both actions in the graphical work area of the Process Integration Scenario Editor .
In the context menu, choose Create Connection between Selected Actions .
The Display/Edit Connections editor appears. You can make further entries here.
The From-action (that the action comes from), the after-action (that the action leads to), and the type of connection result from the selected actions.
For more information, see Editing/Displaying Connections Between Selected Actions .
Choose Copy .
A connection is added between both actoins and displayed as a polygon in the Process Integration scenario graphic.
